Week two on pred tablets four a day last week three a day this week. Certainly seeing great improvement in my hand thank goodness. The pain was starting to get me down and not being able to use my hand properly made life difficult!
Next week two tablets a day will let you know how I get on. Happy Weekend everyone.

I’m pleased the swelling seems to be going down for you but your hand still looks swollen to me but I’m no expert. Hopefully the tapering of pred doesn’t put you back to square one and the reduction in pain and swelling continues. It seems to me that you perhaps need a med review as that much swelling which has increased over a relatively short space of time tells me you’re perhaps not well controlled (but with any luck it’s a blip and will not return). Thanks for the update.
I think that the consultant agrees with you. She was very unhappy! But as I said you can only come to them when they ask! I rang but the nurse said that there were no other appointments so I went with the original. She has asked to see me again in two months. Thanks for asking🌻
I’m struggling with a similar issue. No appointments no one rings back and unless I push push and push again it will be like this for many months. I know the staff are overstretched and are doing all they can but a simple call back when they promised to do so would at least be something. I hope the pred sorts out your inflammation and you don’t start to flare up again before you see your consultant again in two months. But currently that’s not a bad time frame I suppose even if it’s not ideal. Anyway it’s good to see there has been some improvement for you and I hope it continues.
