Morning- has anyone ever experienced mild breathing issues after their MTX dosage?

I ve only noticed this occasionally and been trying to rule things out but this morning took my dose and tidied up the house finding myself “huffing and puffing “ now laying down. Pulse is fine at 82 bpm but it’s a strange development.

I m still waiting on my call to start biologics as the MTX. no longer really helps much.

Tnx

hello, you ought to get this checked out, I went through a very similar situation, went to my gp, who sent me straight to hospital. I spent two weeks in hospital on oxygen after my consultant decided to up my dosage on methotrexate . Resulted in me getting Pneumonitis. As a result of that, I can no longer take methotrexate.

tnx it’s very odd. This happened before to me though much much worse. In October my dose of MTX was increased and I ended up extremely breathless with arrhythmia so ended up in hospital. I was kept in for a few days and heart/lungs were ok. I was off the MTX then for about 9 weeks as got back to back covid. Then had a steroid shot in January just started taking it low dose two weeks ago and then yesterday upped to 10 mg - and bang. Problems not as bad as October but enough to make me lay down and rest. All I do is blinking rest.

Thanks - i ll tell my Dr.

It's not something I've experienced Paul, but it's something I’d be inclined to report to your team.

Hi, Sorry you are having issues. I have been on MTX for over 15 years at 25 m per week. I now inject it and can say I have never had any issues with it other than, the occasional spot up my nose.
