Off topic: Pred Day 7

Taking four pred tablets a day for a week now. Pleased to say my hand has almost stopped hurting 😆and looks much calmer than before. Now a week of three tablets ahead. Will keep you updated.

That's great Green! It's half the size it was. May it continue to reduce. Since my pted jab on Wednesday my fingers are much better. My arms still causing me a bit of jib but they are a bit better too. Xx

Hi Green230461, Just a quick question, I've had a really weird sensation in my knuckles and fingers, like numbness, tingling, like someone's pumping them up, especially when I'm resting, more stiffness than normal, I've had my bloods done did you have this sensation when your knuckles flaired up? Glad your feeling better

Yes, very stiff knuckles could not straighten my first two fingers out at all. Hot feeling then tingling then numb second finger altogether. Blood showed more inflammation which is why consultants put me on to a four week course of prednisone tablets. Four a day for a week then three , two then one. Back to hospital for review in six weeks time. 🧑🏻

So glad I saw your post, my bloods have come back OK also, I've got an appointment for a face to face also in a weeks time as my two fingers nearest my thumb keep going numb, and pain radiates up my forearm, not had this feeling before, feels like creepy crawlies under my skin, its been going on for 3 weeks now . Its just nice to no its not just me 😀

Just checked back on your previous posts. That's a positive result. Hopefully it will reduce even further or sorted completely by the time you're seen next.

Hehehe. You're not alone. I couldn’t find the puppy's lead this morning. Eventually found it in the upstairs bedroom wardrobe. It's normally kept under the stairs on a coat hook! 🤪

Your hand swelling has certainly come down. It looks like pred is doing the trick. Hopefully you will have much more improvement in days to come.
