So it was Dean Martin yesterday in 1945 -written in a heatwave with the intention of cheering up the general populace because of WW11

Same as Haz- the Christmas Song .I could just eat some roast chestnuts . I remember the days when you could buy them off the street vendors in London. I haven't seen any for years

Yes that was a risk😄 Or they were burned. I miss them though- part of the treat of going up there a couple of weeks before Christmas.

There are still many street vendors selling chestnuts in France at Christmas time :) I always buy some when I go over to visit my son.
