After struggling for a long time doing the Benepali injections, I was eventually started on Idacio, 40 mg once a fortnight (that’s taking some getting used to) early July. Though I’ve had worsening fatigue since late autumn 2021 & very dry mouth, this seems to have got worse in last couple of weeks. It may be just a coincidence, but am wondering if it’s the Idacio?
Thankfully, my Biologics nurse phone appointment has been brought forward from early December to the 3 Rd October, partly I believe to see how I’m doing on the new meds. Two other things occur to me, I had a few months of only been on the Methojet pen every week my inflammation & other things didn’t seem to get worse. Also I have the new condition of Smouldering Myeloma since March, no treatment for this, until it becomes active. But could these red blood cells be causing the extra fatigue (also some dizziness) & or the excessive dry mouth & I drink plenty of water, always have a reusable bottle with me!

What are your blood tests showing? It does sound as if it could be a problem either secondary to the adalumimab (Idacio) or your other condition. Adalumimab can cause abnormalaties of blood cell production but I would ask to speak to the doctor who oversees your blood test results for clarification.
Dry mouth could be due to all sorts of things including mouth breathing due to increased mucus production common with adalumimab. But often goes with Rheumatoid Arthritis as well. To be discussed when you have your next appointment perhaps?
My bloods for the Rheumatoid & the Myeloma are all coming up ok, from what they’ve said recently. I have the Biologics nurse appointment brought forward to 3 Rd October, from December, partly due to going on the new Biologics. I will ask her then & if she can’t answer, she usually checks with my consultant.
