Hi Kate2628

I have only just starter idacio so can’t be any help but it is good to know someone else on the same! I had s very bad reaction to my first injection but the second injection was better. I have noticed my eyes and mouth being drier but that is all! I hoe things settle down for you.

Idacio =adalumimab biosimilar. I've not had those side effects on adalumimab (Imraldi biosimilar). I have had dry eyes for ages long before I started it and my dry mouth seems better since I've been on it. I would have thought they would be more likely due to the Rheumatoid Disease than the medication personally.

But people do vary a lot and have individual reactions to medications.

Hi Kate2628,

If you suspect, it is a side effect please make sure to report it via the Yellow card scheme (find out more here: nras.org.uk/resource/report....

It may be worth chatting to your local pharmacist about eye drops/dry eyes spray and mouth wash for dry mouth to help overcome these issues. If they persist, let your rheumatology team know.

I hope you find this information useful and wish you all the best. Should you require any additional information or support please contact our helpline on 0800 298 7650 (Mon-Fri, 9.30am-4.30pm) or email us at helpline@nras.org.uk

Kind regards,
