Yes I’m the same as you . I take pregablin which has been a God send. It’s so uncomfortable especially at night.

My dad, who has just had his 97th birthday (and is going up in a glider in a week’s time 😁) has had significant peripheral neuropathy for the last good few years. He’s not tolerated any of the drugs for nerve pain like Pregabalin but has recently had two sessions of reflexology after trying acupuncture which didn’t have much effect. The reflexology has worked, his foot and leg pain is significantly decreased particularly at night when it was at its worst and he’s thrilled to bits. It’s high praise if something works well for him - he never moans about his pain but we know we may be onto a winner. Anything which gives some relief is a big bonus.

Reflexology has been well researched for peripheral neuropathy and so it may be worth trying possibly before going down the drugs route. I hope you get some relief from your pain however you choose to treat it.

Thank you. This is very interesting. Anything that doesn't put more drugs into your body is well worth a try.

This is very helpful I also was diagnosed finally after 6 years of complaining but they can't find a reason as to why I dont want any drugs so I'll look into reflexology worth a try. That's amazing your Dad 97 going up in a glider he sounds a great character👏

I have hot feet a lot in this weather but otherwise like ice. I usually have feet out of the end of the duvet or hanging over the side. Last heatwave I took ice packs wrapped in a towel to bed. Helped a bit but didn’t work that well tbh. It certainly does keep you awake though. 🙁

Omg yessss, have peripheral neuropathy from lefluminode but my feet & toes at night driving me mad! Got out of bed this morning & saw a nasty scratch I've obviously done myself.

Excuse the state of my nail, its got what looks like a mini grand canyon ravine through the middle, put nail varnish on hoping it would disguise it 🤣

I've never had such dry feet, toes (looks like I've dragged them over a cheese grater) & fingers, hands & arms

My left big toe on waking this morning

If your feet are dry, have you tried O'Keefe's 'Healthy Feet' cream? They have a general one but I have recently started to use the 'overnight' version. You only use a very tiny amount and it really does work. I had started to use the working hands cream and then tried the overnight version of that. Amazing! So tried the foot stuff. The hand cream is recommended by Raynaudsdisease.com as you can use it safely on broken skin, unlike many creams. May be worth a try.

Hi, no I've never heard of it & never suffered like this before, think it may be due to sulfasalazine which I only started in June, I'll ask the local pharmacist, thank you for the heads up x

Oh yes, the pain, tingling and heat in both feet and lower legs is really troublesome.

Hi. Thank you for posting this. I have had the burning and also coldness/numbness/pins and needles thing coming and going in my feet and hands. I have spoken to my rheumatologist about it a few times. Have started imagining all sorts but this post has helped me lots
