Hi guys I had my knee replacement and have been off Baricitinib for four weeks( two weeks either side) . I thought I would get spring booster to give it best chance to work while off meds and rheumy nurse said to start back on it a week later . I want to have Pfizer as didn’t have any reaction apart from sore arm. I just spoke to advice line and they said because I’m off my meds and not currently immunosuppressed I might not be able to get it and they will go through it at appointment. They said because if adverse effects of too many antibodies. Has anyone else had this ? Also did you have all the same make vaccines or mixture ? Thank you !

Thank you ! It looks like it depends on medication you were on at first 2 doses ! I will look out my click letters and take a recent one too in case they want to see it ! Xx

You are welcome. We patients are educating the medics quite often.

I'm on Cimzia.I don't know if the rules have changed but when I had my 4th back in March, in the letter I had from my biologics nurse it said ' are receiving or had the following therapies in the previous 3 months before vaccination' . That included baricitinib. I had my 5th last week and no problems with getting it. I had Moderna( there wasn't any choice at the centre I went to ). This was the best I've had , having had 2 AZ and 2 Pfizer , for minimal side effects , just very tired and a sore arm.

I

I had my 4th Vaccination last month….the clinic I attended had a choice of Pfizer or Moderna and when I said I would prefer the Pfizer as I had bad reactions to VAX one and two with Astrazeneca but I was fine with the Pfizer as Jab No 3 they agreed no problem.

Had the Pfizer,& not even a sore arm.

I had my 5th vaccine a couple of weeks ago. My first 4 were Pfizer but the last one was Moderna. There was no choice in the clinic I went to. Side effects were the same, sore arm and feeling tired the next day, that was all.

I had my spring booster on Saturday at a pharmacy and I just said I was imunosupressed due to my medication and they didn't question it.

I would book online and hope you have a pharmacy nearby as I know the local centre near me where I have worked in a have refrained from vaccinating anyone their spring booster as need a GP letter to confirm. I also took my repeat prescription and box my biologic comes in with my name on. Didn't ask for any proof and had my vaccine with no problems.

My GP were useless when I asked for the spring booster they told me it's nothing to do with them and to call 119 where I found the online detials
