There are hundreds of diseases and illnesses that have a symptom in common. The reason a diagnosis is made by a doctor not a computer is that one has to take into account a large number of factors. Age, sex, weight, medical history, test results, other physical symptoms etc etc.

Google is not a good source for definitive information.

i have found google very informative and most time is correct i do understand it can send you the wrong way but i would its about 99% correct helped me alot with health and other queries

So very true and why I’m on this site but my condition overlaps very closely with Lupus so I’m on that too.Shared experiences provide better understanding than unrelated facts on google. It’s the joining of the dots thst gives the whole picture.

Clan?

in reply to pauluk60

Ahhhhh, I see your meaning now. If my comments are liked it must be because they are useful, information or supportive which is of course the whole purpose of sharing on this site.

I don’t think many here would support self diagnosis by Dr Google rather than a hospital doctor but it’s your choice, doesn’t mean people can’t disagree with you 😊

kitty i think its the other way round myself i don't think then why the nhs mayo clinics and other excellent health providers use google if not to self diagnose yours/mine and the worlds symptoms a lot of peep don't have a doctor hospital at hand so after use google to get help more chance of them the internet than medical facilities like us

Primarily to provide information!

There’s no need to try and look smart but there is a need to be smart.

These are complicated haemotology results, so need to consult a Haematologist, or medical/nursing Specialist, Google no good for this.

Depending on goggle for information on health is like watching one episode of a mystery drama, intriguing but inconclusive.I saw a sign at the hospital saying “five years of medical study can not be replaced by 5 minutes with Dr google”.
