I have had a blister on the sole of my foot which, although being dressed by medical centre nurses, has gone worse rather than better. Now seeing a podiatrist who doesn’t know why my foot is too sore to walk on and why, from time to time, I get a stabbing pain in my foot even when resting.
Has anyone else had such an experience.

Ask if they can scan your foot , I eventually got scans on my feet and ankle and was found to have 2 massive Morton neuromas last one removed 6 weeks ago . It also found bone spurs and broken ligaments and a divet under my ankle as I’d managed to slice a bit of bone of my ankle bone somewhen in the past 50 odd years . So yes 3 operations but at least I can walk now , well getting there 🌺
I had MN's removed twice and my foot straightened. Best thing I've ever done as walking became painless and shoes were a delight once again. You'll get there it took me about 6 months to fully recover but being pain free was wonderful. My foot is still normal and painless.
My right Morton’s they think it’s not all out as I’m having so much toe pain . So they have scanned it and yes it’s back , but going to take a break from surgery for 6 months as I didn’t heal very quickly this time . Glad you’re a success story and I hope I will be soon 🌺
As an ex nurse patients where I worked with ulcers and RA would have been treated by the tissue viability team because they dont always heal easily. Your district nurses will have access to them, as actually will podiaatry. Good luck
Sympathy! My feet never stop hurting from RA of blisters caused by limping due to RA.A monthly trip to the chiropodist used to help but now unaffordable due to redundancy during the pandemic.
I’ve tried all manner of insoles but actually use sponge powder puffs under my big toe joint to cushion them and it does help (for me anyway).
