There are lots of people on here who have been on more than one biologic before finding one that works for them. All meds can have side effects but it doesn’t mean you will get any. Go forward expecting to get none rather than thinking about what could happen.

If you type amgevita into the search box and filter for NRAS you will get all the previous posts about it 😊 good luck

I haven't swopped from Imraldi to Amgevita so can't help there. I have been on Amgevita for a number of years, I was swopped from Humira. Amgevita is a biosimilar to Humira. I find it very simple to use. It is an injectable pen, smaller than the Humira pen. I had no negative side effects from switching. I was nervous about the change at the time as Humira had worked so well for me. I don't know what your issues are with Imraldi, but I believe it is also a biosimilar to Humira, adalimumab, so hopefully you will find it more simple to use.

Both my nephews switched from Imraldi to Amgevita without any issues. However, they did not find the Imraldi injections painful once they started injecting into their abdomens, not thighs. So, don't know how much that helps.

Where do you inject Ninnin? If it’s your thigh have you tried your tummy?

I’ve only ever been on Amjevita (about 18 months now) and it’s been terrific for me - given me my life back 👍 I still get terrible stinging when I inject methotrexate but no problems with Amgevita at all.

As KittJ says. Try injecting in your tum. I can't inject in my thighs as I have very skinny legs and no spare flesh. I have two injections a week (mtx and Tcz) and very occasionally one or the other may sting for a few seconds but even if it hurt for 10 mins after, I wouldn't give up something that was working on the off chance that the next biologic would work. I have had experience of switching from Enbrel to Benepali which is a biosimilar, everyone told me it would be fine .... followed by 3 years of hell trying to get something that worked!

Sorry Ninnin67, I also meant to say, see if getting someone else to inject would make a difference. Difficult to give up something that's life changing.

I find the Imraldi painful as it goes in, but it only lasts a few minutes until just after the second click showing it is in. It's certainly worth it for the relief I have had and I wouldn't want to risk changing to another biologic which might not work...

Hi, I used to have Humira, which was brilliant to use, as it was more or less painless to administer and you clicked the button at the top to release the needle. However my local hospital switched to us all to Imraldi (which is essentially the same drug, but different manufacturer). Like you, I do find it quite painful, but it does help if you take the 'pen' out of the fridge a few hours before using, to bring it up to room temp. I have to inject in the thigh, as when I tried in my stomach, it literally just sinks in and doesn't release the needle and this despite me not being over weight. I didn't have that problem with Humira, probably because of the ejector button mechanism. I think it is injecting into the thigh that causes the pain problem, especially if, like me, you have relatively skinny thighs. However, I do find the pain only lasts a few seconds. Maybe give the stomach a go and see if you fare better than me? Good luck with that or, if you go ahead with the change, that the new drug works just as well.

Exactly the issue I had with Imraldi... I swopped to Amgivita 2 years ago and not looked back! I think Imraldi has citrus in it, so ir stings when you administer it. X

Hi ,I was on amgivita fir 6 months, after being on humira for years, they changed me to amgevita as its the cheaper option,it never worked for me and pleaded for 8 months to go back on himira.Whilst waiting my arthritis took a turn for the worse(housebound last 18 months),due to not taking Humira.

I eventually git back on Humira but the damage has been done unable to walk hands and feet turned outwards knees destroyed.

Sorry spouting off ,no Amgevita never worked for me.
