So, I am 10 days in after my first adalimubab injection and I have minimal pain, the occasional twinge but nothing like it has been…appreciate that it’s not even up to full strength yet, but can honestly say this is a completely life changing situation from how it has been the last 3.5 years. I don’t think I quite realised how many bits of me were aching and hurting until they stopped(!!)
I am keeping everything cautiously crossed, but this feels almost like normal….
Thank you for all the support and advice whilst I felt sorry for myself. I am sure there’s more days and weeks in my future when it will remind me that it is still there, but I am feeling cautiously optimistic…
Also, the 3rd party pharmacy dropped two more pens off yesterday & I now (finally) have a sharps bin, which replaces the bestickered ice cream tub. Ha!!

Thank you!! I am so pleased to be able to post it. We’ll see how things go, but I even had some wine on Saturday and…nothing!!! I mean, I’m getting very small things, my right hand is still not 100% and I occasionally get that teeny feeling of sharp burning in my fingers, but nothing like before. Eek!!!🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
I did this with great hope and enthusiasm but it made me seize up all over again and I have accepted with great sadness that running doesn’t go well with RA. I go loads of long walks instead. But you might be different! Good luck x
Hi.Marfs I too have been on Amgevita injections for 2 years now and it's completely changed my life, I was so reluctant at first because I'm not a person that takes medication lightly therfore hung back for months unfortunately.. but moving forward things are still great. Anyway so good to hear you are doing the same.
That is great news. I am 3 weeks in and have done two injections and can honestly say no help at all yet and in fact feel worse than ever as have so many side effects.
