I've been reading, with interest, the feeds which relate to: people difficulty booking booster after 3rd vaccine (recorded incorrectly as booster) as I too have this concern.
I had noticed that some of the walk-in centres are using Eventbrite to enable booking. I followed this route and was actually able to book my booster. I had a confirmation email and then an online form to fill in - all looking good thus far 🤔The only problem was that I need my appointment 30th/31st December, and it doesn't go that far ahead. Anyhoo, I cancelled the booking (very easy to do through my email link) as it was too soon - it was an experiment to see if I could do that.
Then I received a call from a friend who works in a chemist, who suggested that I tried there. I called; the pharmacist suggested that to ensure my records would be correct, I should go back to the walk-in centre where I had my 3rd vaccine (which had been recorded as a booster - it was the only recording choice available at that time) so I managed to find a phone number and called.
I was put through to a lady, who worked in a different covid vaccine office to the one I wanted. However, luckily for me she is going be working in the walk-in centre where I want to book on Thursday!! 🥳She has given me her name, the office number to call on Thursday and has said she'll book me in for 30th/31st December! She said that all they do is put a note onscreen about the vaccine being a booster and voilà- simples!
OMG! I could have hugged that lady! The hoops I have jumping through to try and sort this out is unbelievable - same as you guys.
Just thought I'd share this with you as any information that we share might help someone else out.

Hey you, I had the same issue, I emailed my GP surgery who put a note on the system that as I am CEV I was given a 3rd dose and not a booster. HNS are so overwhelmed with everything that there is no communication at all. I have my booster in January...no date as of yet it all depends on what Boris decides in the next few days. We are preparing for remote teaching just in case and there are no immediate plans on shielding again which I am happy about as it affected me mentally but I am being super careful.

Great to hear from you 🙂 My GP surgery said that they couldn't do that and to call 119 to get through to the Vaccine Data Resolution Service. But that's a 21 day wait!

Yep , same here . At my two monthly MTX blood test I asked the nurse about having a 4th jab as my 3rd jab had been registered as a booster on my record . ( Eligibility letter for 3rd jab came from rheumatologist after I'd been called for booster) . Nurse said practice didn't deal with organisation of vax but would message someone who would know what to do . After waiting for 30 mins nurse said she hadn't received a reply but surgery would call with an answer . As no answer came I tried 119 two or three times who , of course, told me to contact my surgery . Then someone informed me I could fill in a data resolution form but it would take 3 weeks .
I do have my rheumatologist letter and the local Sports Hall where I had all jabs and flu jab has started up again but are now no longer accepting walkins , only booked appointments 🙃
Maybe try calling the vaccine centre direct. That's what I'm doing today - to book my booster vaccine 🤞The lovely lady, Paula, said that they simply put a note against my data input. Then, hopefully, when the data resolution centre come back to me in 3 weeks it will get sorted....who knows?
Well, I now have my actual booster booked on 30th December....albeit without a reference number. The lovely Paula, at the Covid Vaccine Centre near me, has given me a time. I'm to turn up and say I'm on the list, I just don't have a reference number. She has, as a precaution, added my phone number against my booking just incase they say that I have to wait a couple more days and it has to be rebooted. If you're still having trouble, maybe try calling your vaccine centre and talk to them. You can always share my positive experience with doing that.
Thank you Moomin . At the moment I can't find the telephone number for the place where I had all my other jabs . Excellently run . They closed at the beginning of December but have opened again because of Omicron.
I really can't see why it is so difficult. Some people seem to ring up their surgeries and get "booster" changed to "third" , others say their surgeries dispute that it's anything to do with them . It's not as though it's a new problem . We're not trying to jump the gun or receive more than we're entitled to . Just trying to keep safe , out of hospital and not be a burden .
My husband has always been able to come with and get jabbed at the same time , as someone living with an immunosuppressed person . He did with my 3rd ( recorded as booster ) . If I can get my 4th - booster , will the same apply ?
If you take your rheumy’s letter + your proof of the vaccinations you have had…..to the walk-in clinic…..ask the person guiding those with appointments in the queue & ask him/her to show your letter to the clinician in charge of the session you should get your jab…….I did that…..was told to join the queue & got my jab.
Oh amazing news for you I am so pleased.Mine is due next week and I am still waiting for the data resolution people from 119 to ring me back.
I am going to lie low over Christmas and hope they ring me back but if not will try and do the same and contact the clinic directly. Thank you so much for the info and well done on getting it sorted.
Also what if you miss the call back from 119, do you have to wait another 21 days!!?I don't have my phone by me every minute of the day and night, plus I don't have an answering service on it bcz I find them annoying. Miss that call at your own peril init!
He said they will ring up to 3 times, if you miss it you have to call back and attempt to start the process again…am going to wait until January now when the 21 days are def over and then try my luck at a walk-in centre before continuing to chase 119…Let’s hope they call!!
Sorry to hear you are having a problem getting the booster vaccine I live in Canada and had my 3rd Pfizer vaccine in November. My Rheumy gave me a letter requesting that I have the 3rd vaccine due to me having RA. I had to take my meds which they checked thoroughly and the fact that the Cimzia injection was on the list they agreed to give me the 3rd vaccine.
Hope you can get your 3rd vaccine on the day you need it.

Same. But I'm just saying because Maureen says you can go to a walk-in for your booster if you have the letter about the 3rd one, but I threw mine away thinking I wouldn't need it because I'd already had it. My rheumatologist doesn't even know there is a 4th dose, denied all knowledge of it despite being the one who sent me for my 3rd due to immunosuppression. Infuriating isn't it.
Your GP will have the letter in your file, you should be able to ring the secretary for a copy, and take that. Even better ask for 2 copies then you have it in case you need in the future. I scan all my letters and keep them in a file on my phone.
I have a letter from GP I took for my 3rd primary dose. I had to educate them on the concept of the 3rd primary at the time. I recall making sure I had the letter back from reception at the time of my 3rd vax. In the event that I may need to show it again in my next battle for a vax. Gonna dash to the drawer and see If I remember correctly.
