Well yesterday I received a letter from Sajid Javid telling me I can stop shielding now! Dated 17th September- where has it been? How much has that cost?

Waste of time and resources again!

Me too Green. I had it in email form first on 27 September and letter form on 11 October!! It absolutely is a waste of time and resources!

It’s automated. No one is literally stuffing envelopes. It’s all done by machine 😊

Haha. That would be interesting. Automated doctors. It might catch on as they are using robots for consultations in some places now. Although, it's a bit like an iPad on wheels 🤣

Perhaps some people don’t have email. Maybe some senior people? I had the email but no letter.

True enough. I had the email a while ago and was surprised to them receive a paper copy. Funnily enough I also tend to get something very similar from the city council. I have to say none of it makes me feel any more confident😅

My council used to send me emails every week but it stopped after shielding stopped. They were really good in contacting me re my partner getting his vaccines early.

Yes that was mine too via email then a GP reminder. Even though o can’t have my third vaccine for now I’ve to keep receiving the reminders my practice manager said and wait to contact NHS when my B cells are back so I don’t get taken off the list etc.

Not heard from anyone about third jab yet! Got the monster cold at the moment into weeks three so I have enough issues 🌞

Not good is it?! Yes, many issues here unfortunately. I just can’t have a third as I’ve no B cells so shielding continues.

I have had two letters saying the same thing about 2 months apart. I wouldn't mind but if he told me it was safe to stick my hand in the fire I still wouldn't so this is no different. Will continue to keep myself away from unnecessary contact with people. I agree it is a big waste of money.

Yes whatever Mr Javid & co say I’m doing what my rheumy advises and what I know is right for me. He’s shown he’s not overly knowledgeable re the immunosuppressed (not an insult, just an observation) and that’s not going to instill much confidence to be advised by someone with much less knowledge then yourself.
