Is anyone biting the Bond bullet and venturing to the cinema?
My local Odeon is opening at 9.30 for shielded. What if hundreds turn up?
Or is it Moneypenny well spent?

Brilliant 👏👏 I want to go and would be happier if the cinema was very ventilated and for those who shielded sounds a goid idea ...
Oh good one
Haha. No way! Far too risky for me. I’m keen to “live and not let (me) die!” 😁
No I don’t feel it is safe for me and I’m shielding. The luxe cinemas have more space but still not for me yet.
Did you watch yesterday's Facebook live immunosuppressed Octave study. Very very very informative and exactly what you have been asking ..
Nope, the 2 hours 43 mins is too long for me but enjoy it if you decide to risk it x
I’m not completely risk averse & did do family meal out few weeks ago (seafront restaurant, all windows doors open) but didn’t really feel comfortable tbh. I still mask up & order online for most stuff, like many of us I guess..
Thanks @ Kerensa21
Hope you enjoy it. It sounds like a good idea - a special showing for the shielded. I've booked to go to the theatre in a couple of weeks . It's my passion, along with live music, and I decided I had to take the plunge sometime . I'm a bit apprehensive though.
I have missed the theatre so much! Haven’t stepped foot in one for over three years now😡
Nor me. I've also booked to go to a gig in November, something I haven't done for nearly 2 yrs. No standing in a crowd for me though- it's all seating ! The theatre have requested that you wear a mask throughout the performance. It will be strange but I don't mind, as I know it's for everyone's benefit , and I'm so happy to be able to go.
I’ve been going to the cinema since they reopened, our local one is careful and not usually full. It was restricted numbers at first, but now health passes and masks. I feel fine about it.
(But I don’t like James Bond. Well I’ve never seen one so can’t say that for sure….but I don’t think I’d like them.)
So far there are six of us!
Sat in cinema with OH whole place full with nine of us!Almost felt normal for once and a BIGbox of popcorn woohoo!!!
I fancy seeing it before I'm stopped from going to the cinema. If all else fails I've got a projecter at home and will have to use the computer to see new films.
At least until the fear of covid dies down and they can no longer find an excuse to punish people for not needing the vaccine.
I’m in Edinburgh soon so may see it then, as Scotland still have good rules in place… I saw ‘Casino Royale’ at the pics and it was fab… many moons ago. No spoilers please!
