I started this drug in December. I wrote a post about . You can search for this . I’ve had no side effects best drug so far. My RA is doing well but since been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and now that’s my demon.
Go for it. You don’t know unless you try 😁
Thank you so much for your reply.🤞
There were a flurry of posts some time back when it was first released and shortly afterwards - if you put it in the search box you should find them.It does seem fairly well tolerated but, like most of our treatments) what suits one person doesn't benefit another.
Thank you
I was on it until i got a chest infection and another so i was taken of it. I did well on it.xxxxx
I've been on it for 9 months now. It's the only drug I've taken so far that's made a dent in my RA symptoms. I'm finally off steroids and hoping I will continue to improve. No obvious side effects either. Hopefully you'll do well on it too.
Yes it's the only drug which is showing improvement after continues teo years in si much pain .I started it in June 2021 .In the beginning I had too much headache and nausea but now gradually these are settling with anti nausea but now I have uti symptoms and eyes sensitivity which is not clear either it's due to this drug are not .I also got stumbled while getting out car a week ago and again unable to move my leg .Now waiting for any response from rehumotogy department .I have been advised it will take time to response .I am again depress and having so much pain .I hope you will start it and get its positive response quickly.
I was on baricitanib about two years ago was only able to take half dose because of immune system issues. Was well tolerated no side effects and did help with my joints to some extent although they were in a real mess when I started it. I managed for almost a year with them but then came the infections one after another but that was due to my immune system not necessarily the baricitanib but it didn’t help. Had to stop start the Bari so much that eventually they didn’t work so now have been med free for almost two years but not by choice lol. So with regards to your question they were pretty good for me and get to work within a few days not months I would recommend it although we are all different with regards to tolerance of these things and efficiency. You won’t know until you try and the other good news is it doesn’t stay in your system for long so any problems with it are short lived.
No side effects so far- able to swim again great. Hope it works for you too😍
I had a few viral infections on Baricitinib, but did better on it than other advanced therapies so was changed to toficinitib and am doing much better, with no viral infections 🤞
I was taken off leflunomine and my sulfasalazine has been reduced. I am able to get in and out of the shower and I am swimming twice a week. I have been on baricitinib since January and it has changed my outlook too less pain more get up and go. So I hope it works well for you.
Hello. Yes I’ve been on Baricitinib for seventeen weeks now, I have Stills disease and although most of the symptoms have been controlled with steriods the swelling of my knees and hands persisted. Tried everything, tocilizimab, methotrexate, sulfasalazine, leflunomide, humira etc nothing worked Baricitinib has slowly reduced some of the swelling and pain. No real side effects maybe some weight gain but I’m finding it ok. Just seems to be taking ages to work totally. Maybe it never will. But nice that I can move a bit better now and feel more positive. Good luck
