I posted a few days ago about my white cell count and had some very helpful answers, so thank you! This is an odd one that I’m going to call my team about but I’m perplexed and quite concerned. I keep getting tender lumps on my scalp and sometimes face, they come up and then go two to three days later. Has anyone ever had any experience of it and I can’t work it out at all, thank you

Sorry for another question!
I havent I'm afraid , so sending love , maybe others know , if not gp xx 😍
yes! You're not alone I have the tender lumps on my head too. Sometimes they feel like they are in the scalp and some feel like they are in the actual skull.I get them elsewhere too, sometimes legs, shins especially. Often I first notice them when they momentarily itch or cause a quick pain and I go to rub or scratch.
Good luck asking your rheum team or GP: I have always been roundly fobbed off or ignored and although annoying I have actually learned to ignore it now. I have so many odd little symptoms but have given up worrying about them.
GP says RD causes all sorts of strange lumps and bumps.
Try not to panic. xx
That’s exactly how I realise I have them too! Apart from I have one on my chin that came up yesterday but other than that, yes I just feel a slight tenderness and then go to feel it and there is a bump. Thank you for replying, I was getting myself in a bit of a state about it! I’ll try GP/Rheumy team but I’m guessing I’ll get the same response. Thank you again, RA the gift that keeps on giving...! Xx
Not sure if it is the same like the lumps that I posted about a month or 2 ago. The one on my leg is gone after more than few months. The one on my hand was gone after about a month but it comes up again after about a week.
They are painful a bit to touch. I have my appointment in Apr, I will check with my rheumy and I will post it here if necessary.
Mine seem to go within a few days and are only on my head (at the moment) so sound a bit different but I think as above it seems that RA gives us strange bumps! I’m going to speak to GP/Rheumatology team this week, I hope you get some answers too! It’s not easy
You might look up erythema nodosum? I think that I get this when I have a bad flare, but haven't had it confirmed by a health professional. The lumps have almost always gone by the time I see anyone, although a few times I have had a response of "That's interesting!" but then a shake of the head.
