I don't know if anyone else has got one but I've just had an email from NHS, and it states only government supplied LFT's can be used to report a positive test to presumably access treatments so might be a good idea not to buy them. It's just a thought.
'The UK Health Security Agency will send you one pack of lateral flow tests by 12 April. Only use them if you develop symptoms. If you run out, you can order more from gov.uk/order-coronavirus-ra... or by calling 119.
You can use any lateral flow tests supplied by the Government. Tests bought from a shop cannot currently be registered via GOV.UK or 119 and you will not be contacted about treatment if you test positive using these tests.
If you were previously sent a PCR test you can keep it. You might be asked to take a PCR if you receive treatment from the NHS.'

Well I suppose as money has to be saved ….not trusting the shop bought LFTs will not only achieve that, but as you say….it might stop people wasting their money buying them? But as there appears to be no really comprehensive list of those who are still entitled to free tests……I wonder where that leaves things?
Not had one yet, however they didn’t send me a PCR either had to ring for it. I received all my other texts and emails about shielding, 4th vaccine as my booster. I expect I’ll be ringing again!
I got the email. I’ve just spent some time dividing up ltf boxes into which ones are mine and can be reported and then a box for the rest of the family which can’t . I think this is going to get very confusing . From my understanding of it we won’t be offered antivirals if we use a test that’s not registered to us ?. I may just be being a bit thick this morning
That's correct. Any other LFT's can't currently be registered, meaning if you test positive you'll be unable to report your positive result & won't be contacted about treatment, so best to put those to one side.
The other thing of note is we're not to use the PCR tests we received (if you did that is), still keep it though, you may be asked to take a PCR if you receive treatment.
So only this new box of LFTs is to be used for the immunosuppressed and don’t use any, even if we received officially from 119 any earlier? I presume we would still register it if applicable with 119 to link to the antiviral assessment. Got the latest/current LFTs box this morning in the post. (As it’s still in quarantine until tomorrow I haven’t opened it!) x
It's saying not to use tests bought from a shop but you can use any lateral flow tests supplied by the Government. I read that as yes, you can use any received from 119, they'll be official one surely? That said I’d use the ones you've just received first if you have symptoms, & I really hope you don’t need to use any! x
Thank you and I hope the same too for you. 💗 Yes, I would use the newest box if needed, but it’s good to know/have a plan in place if we need to do this. Although you have to give your details online to order then, I didn’t know if the previous boxes were all tracked to each person. x
Hi, that’s what I think/understand. We won’t trigger the antivirals system if we use a previous box of LFTs not registered to us. So with this new box we can be differentiated from others who won’t be eligible to have antivirals. (Haven’t opened it yet to check instructions as it’s just arrived and it’s still in quarantine! I wait a day to open most things. ) x
Thank you . To be honest I didn’t read the email properly the first time . It’s a good job I read it out loud to my partner or I wouldn’t have had any idea !. I haven’t opened the boxes yet , I’ve just applied the “MINE” stickers I usually reserve for good chocolate x
As I never get any notifications, even though I'm on 20mg mtx, tcz and have high blood pressure, I have some previously NHS issued LFTs. Can I still use them or do I have to apply for new ones?
I don't know as when they're given out the number is trackable to the person isn't it ? If I were you I'd ask but who to ask is anyones quess ! Such a confused situation. x
I would ring 119 and ask re getting those latter LFT box as you have a high spec biologic and also borderline Mtx for inclusion for antivirals virals eligibility. Also your high BP. Worth an ask. Did you get the third primary vaccine dose? Good luck.
Yeah I got the email too with instructions on what to do to get antivirals. I received the lateral flow tests today in the post too. I’m lucky to get them and hope I never have to use them but I’d sooner not be severely immune suppressed with RA. But I am grateful for them nonetheless.
