Hi just wanted to say was vaccinated with Oxford, Astrazenica yesterday morning about 9;45.
Looked after grandson most of the day then started feeling below par about 4ish. By 4:45 pm got the chills/rigors, and dull headache, back pain round the kidney area went to bed , got up had a simple supper which I then brought up late evening
Managed to use one of my antihemetic meds then keep 2 paracetamols down. Symptoms eased off in the night. I do tend to react to things with nausea and sometimes vomiting so hey oh.
Decided will not take my weekly MTX on Wednesday, to give my system a break.
For the record yes would still have the vaccination , and will have to follow up when they call me in

I got pfizer yesterday and only slight arm tenderness, it's strange isnt it. But yes I will have it as needed and I really hope you feel better by the morning x
Hope you soon feel better. My turn tomorrow morning. Have done most I need to do this week in the house in case I feel out of it for a few days. Hope you pick up in a couple of days and feel back to norm.
I had the same vaccine on Saturday. Fatigue within hours then all of the above( lasted 2 and 1/2 days) except vomiting but I have major gastric issues on top of baricitnib gastric issue still having trouble.
Hi Happy5. Same as hubby and me. We had ours about 11.15 ish Saturday before last, Oxford AZ and by late afternoon, hubby was feeling unwell and went to bed. I went up later and he had uncontrollable shivering and by the time I got into bed, so did I. It was like the rigors without the heat, teeth chattering too. We also had bad headaches, fatigue, nausea and muscular aches, particularly around the back. Shivering was gone the next morning but everything else was there. Hubby's lasted about three days but mine went on for six days gradually fading. I think mine was worse because I also did my MTX injection late the same afternoon. I would have the next one too. x
Thanks for sharing. It seems common then to get a few symptoms. At least we know not to worry and that it will pass. Hopefully you are feeling better now. I get mine this morning.
Hope you are feeling better now Happy5. My in-laws had the Pfizer vaccine and just had a sore arm, I had the AZ on Saturday morning and the chills/flu like symptoms knocked me for six late that night until Sunday night. My daughter has said that the second dose can be worse as the body has to fight harder second time around - what joy! However, it will be worth it to have the protection. Seems Pfizer is the kinder vaccine!
I had the Oxford jab on Monday at 8.30 am by 8.30 pm I had to go to bed I felt awful , the headache was horrendous and joint pains especially my back . I felt rotten no temperature though . As the day went by yesterday I’ve felt better . This morning a bit of a niggling headache but that’s all .
