I forgot about this this morning but the power went off yesterday and the radio is supposed to restart on its own . Clever little Alexa on the bedside cupboard with the camera turned off ! woke me up at 7.30 and in my haze I thought thats not Julia on Radio Kent. So then thought why don't I understand the presenter ? It then dawned on me it was a Welsh ? radio station. So I tried to stop it and go to Radio Kent but that little Alexa didn't listen. I nearly threw the thing across the room as my husband said "what have you done to the radio ? " me "Nothing, I done nothing!!! "anyway now thinking that the Alexa is actually a spy and reporting to a foreign government as I thought its Welsh but it might be Russian and responding to foreign instructions. lol

I won’t have her in my house.Living alone my language is sometimes very choice directed at certain individual/s.

I would hate to be taken to court and have to refute Alexa’s words!.

Well she was a present as I moaned about the old clock which got knocked out in power cuts. But at least it didn't change nationality. lol And I still say please and thank you to it! xxx

We went to visit friends who have one and although we are all Scottish, they are from Glasgow and I was born in Edinburgh and we lived all over the place and have been down south for forty years so I’ve got a general sort of Scottish accent.Anyway, their Alexa could barely understand what I asked it to do. It was quite odd, if I pitched my voice and copied how my friend spoke I got on better but it looked like they must get used to how their owners speak.

I have Siri... and he is about as much use as a chocolate teapot.No matter what technical Qs I ask him about iPad/ Phone... he comes back with “I am am not familiar with that question,

😱 Yikes Lol 😂 I’ve just joined the Alexa world and got some smart bulbs. Really really great for when you can’t get there to turn lights on and off. Goodness knows how this is going to go for me given what she’s done to you. Funny ... I say please and thank you to her too. 🥰
