Afternoon folks after struggling a couple off days with severe back ache going up into my shoulder blades and chest pain and breathing problems I ended up in the hospital after having to get an ambulance,it arrived 10mins after phoning which was impressive,I got an infection and am on 2 course off antibiotics but I’ve been struggling with this breathing problems for a couple off months now and had various tests so at least their being thorough, had 2 covid tests in the past week and depending on my bloods and chest X-ray I think their going to let me home but been warned to take it easy which won’t be hard as I feel as if I’ve been hit by a bus, have a happy new year everyone and hopefully next years better xxx

So sorry to hear you’ve been suffering like that and it’s good that you are getting speedy treatment.

I had an almost identical problem back in September and it turned out my chest pain (mostly around back of rib cage) and breathlessness were caused by chronic pulmonary embolisms which showed up on a CTPA scan. I have to thank the locum GP who saw my marginally abnormal D-Dimer blood test result and sent me to A&E. May I suggest you ask whether a PE has been ruled out in your case.

Take it easy and hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry to hear that rab, I know you've had breathing problems for a while so hopefully the antibiotics will clear it up now. A Happy New Year to you and your wife rab, hope it brings some happiness your way. xx

Hope your feeling better very soon. It's awful. I got flu Sunday felt like was hit my bus, covid negative. Had to work Wednesday (self employed) had to get driven home to go to bed. Eating stupid amount of ibruphen now but feel a bit better this morning.
