There is a newer version today. If I'm reading it correctly, I think we are down to position 6 (from position 4) for the vaccine 🤷🏻♀️

5 December 2020Added revised green book chapter 14a. Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination information for public health professionals.
Thanks for this. Some of us are old as well - so we're higher up the priority list!
So right OT.....& as the vaccine being started next week is only enough for 400,000 people to have the required two injections- I can’t see many of us getting anywhere near vaccination before Easter.I reckon as I have kept myself safe for the last 9/10 months...if I continue to be careful I’m happy to wait.
After all....having the vaccination doesn’t mean you can’t get Covid19... it just means if you are unfortunate enough to become infected you will hopefully not get a very serious bout of illness....the same way the Influenza vaccination protects.
I just hope everybody doesn’t think they can immediately discard hand washing and wearing a mask and start hugging everybody in sight.....but with the relaxation of rules over Christmas....I am not holding my breath.
Well I'm still in group 4 according to page 8 of the Green Book that you posted. My GP told me only last week I'm still in the CEV category for taking immunosuppressing medication (Rituximab).
We are not all taking the same medication so I think it's best to leave it up to our doctors to advise us.
I’ve always been at 6 from what I’ve read. As others have said we will all be in different positions 😊
I'll be interested to see which group they put me in; I would assume 6 but I keep getting bombarded with letters and emails telling me that I'm CEV (I don't agree) so who knows?!
I got my CEV letter 3 weeks late last time supposed to to writing me after the 2nd December... still waiting so still got to work 🙄
I don't think that the one I got said that you shouldn't not go to work but that you should work from home if possible but I didn't read it that carefully as I'm lucky in that I CAN work from home.
My local council is taking it all very seriously - I had a letter from them and three phone calls offering help; obviously that's good for those who need it but I'm sure that I'd registered to say that I didn't need any help 🙄😂
Typical 😂
I'm fairly sure the most recent CEV email (or could have been a letter?) I received said that it could be used as proof of "status" to an employer if necessary, though it didn't specifically say not to go to work, just to follow the general Tier restrictions but "with extra caution"
@Boxerlady ... like you, I keep getting sent the CEV stuff though as I'm only taking mtx and hydroxy, I'm not at all convinced in applies to me and although I'm still certainly not taking any more risks than absolutely necessary, I'd actually feel quite guilty if I got prioritised for vaccinations over people who I've no doubt are at a far greater risk than I am...
That's exactly what I've been thinking 😕 I've got appointments with both my consultant and my GP in a couple of weeks so I'll see what they say....
I guess we could possibly ask to be removed from the CEV list, but since I do still recognise that we may be slightly more vulnerable than the general population (and no one really knows for certain anyway!), I'm not sure that's entirely wise either...
It's a tricky one isn't it? I'd definitely be interested to see what your medics say...
Just asap please!
It is a bit confusing, due to people also having other conditions, being in a higher age category etc.
Only having had one Rheumatology meeting and just been started on methotrexate along with prednisolone, I haven't had any advice from Rheumatologist or Gp. When I asked the Rheumatologist at the end if the meeting questions about vulnerability he didn't really say much. Reading Rheumatology guidelines where you add up points, I score 3 for just the meds. I hope I do hear something and don't get forgotten!
Were you given a contact number or email for a clinical nurse attached to your rheumatology team?
Thank you for that Moomin. I should be in 3 then.
Just read it again. I think if the 2nd page is only for under 40s it will be 6. Still not sure but will just wait to be sent for. Thanks again
I'm in my 50's and received the CEV letters/emails from Matt Hancock so assume I'd fall into category No. 4. Husband also in his 50's with asthma so assume he would fall into category No. 6. My children are in their 20's so assume they wont get vaccinated for ages, at least until next summer.
Thank you for keeping us up to date
Do be careful about advice on Vaccine. Most of us will not be able to have some of the vaccines because they are LIVE or Active vaccines. I have already been told by RHEUMATOLOGIST, not to get excited as at least 2 would not be suitable for me.
