Very interesting article
Great article. Thanks x
Very good - thanks.
When I had a second OT appointment recently (a second rheumy nurse referral to deal with a new issue) there were two OTs there as one was new to the department. When I mentioned that I did my hand exercises every morning whilst in the shower, they smiled at each other and one said "ah, a compliant patient" which made me realise that many people must struggle to do everything they're advised to do. Must admit to a touch of guilt as I don't do all the other exercises on the leaflets they give me! 🙄🤣
I've shared this link a few times in the past. It has not always been welcomed or well received but hey, as long as it helps one person then it was worth sharing.
I wonder why it hasn't been well received? I found it very enlightening. Could have done with reading it a few months ago!
This was the first time I posted the link healthunlocked.com/nras/pos.... It says 5 years ago, how time flies! It was well received as you'll read but the one time that sticks in my mind when I gave the link within a reply was how dare I think that this related to them, or words to that effect. I was genuinely giving it as a reference, but they may have been in so much pain I was the brunt of their frustration as we've 'spoken' many times since.
That's a really good article Brychni, thanks for sharing. x
I was extraordinarily complaint for the first 5 or 6 years, practically down to the minute. And then the first time I skipped my MTX injection for a week as was going on holiday I felt SOoooo guilty! And I still do this from time to time - not often and never more than a week, so I think need also to recognise that little blips don’t necessarily mean non-adherence: just living a life!
