I just wondered if anybody has had to have toe nail surgery due to the side effects off methotrexate increasing the risk of fungal infections. I’m just wondering how bad it was the next day after having it removed , as I’m due to move house two days after having it done so I won’t be able to rest much .
Thanks 😊

I haven't I’m afraid. Although less of an issue my right big toenail started splitting down the centre early summer. I've never had problems prior to this. At my last Podiatry appointment she filed it at an angle hoping that would solve it promptly, & it has. I've been on MTX 11 years.
I hope the surgery is successful but please do take aftercare advice you're given. I appreciate how busy you are when moving house but even if you're directing from a chair if you do need to rest it up. If the boxes take that bit longer to be emptied it will have to be. Hope you're happy in your new home.
I love that directing from a chair lol . I know that’s the only thing , it says rest on the day you have it done but it doesn’t really say anything about after that. Thank you take care
I think if it rains tomorrow it will be MTX fault .
I’ve had my big toe nail removed twice for ingrown toe nails and it’s quite sore afterwards. It throbs like crazy. Don’t honestly think I could do a house move after having it done due to my experiences. Could you not postpone it?
