Been on tramadol for 7 weeks was told to stop them I am walking the walls with withdrawal symptoms. How long will this last should I start taking them again to stop this.

I am sorry that you’re suffering because of stopping it. I am a little surprised that you just stopped and weren’t perhaps told to reduce to then stop. 7 weeks is a decent enough length of time for an opioid that do have addictive qualities. Before this latest downturn for me I was reducing the codeine by a tablet each day or so or so ... I’d got to half dose.

I would ask whoever told you to just stop for help and a taper situation. Or talk to a doc you trust more. Good luck 🙂

Hi ba. How are you feeling now?

I’m doing a lot better thank you. I am downstairs in hospital bed and have carers coming in three times a day... how weird it is. I don’t like it but it’s where I’m at and am grateful that I am being helped. How are you getting on?

I'm not too bad thanks. Had a MTX hangover this morning and also felt a bit stiff. I'm hoping the SSZ will start kicking in soon - I'm into my sixth week now. I'm really glad that you're having help, it was such an awful time for you. How is your pain now, is it any better?

The waiting game is so tough isn’t it. I’ve been really lucky on side effects so far with Sulfasalazine and MXT . Not much of a hangover so very happy about that. Probably going up in dose and to injections perhaps. A lot lot less pain than Sunday night. That was really really horrible. My friend on the phone told me to call 111. Apparently I was making very little sense. The steroids are doing the trick and I can at least get to the bathroom now. 👍🏻

Really glad you've got some relief. I could hear how awful it was. Hope you continue to improve day by day. Take care and all the best. xx

It’s nuts and I’m trying to see if I can change my dumping ground/office about to take a bed so I don’t ever find myself stuck like this again. I think if I hadn’t pushed it by going upstairs I might not have got so bad. You have a good rest of day too. Be kind to yourself. 🙂🙂🙂

Kerp going do not have any more or you will have to start all over again. Drink at least 3 litres of water a day to flush it out of your system. I've just given up sugar and caffeine and this is what I was advised.

How's it going Brown dog?
