Had telephone conversation booked yesterday with consultant but because my phone appeared to be engaged, they couldn’t get to me. I made several calls to them. My provider is Sky, setting is not set to refuse calls from unknown numbers. I got a call from one of the nurses early July so something has changed since then.
Anyone else had this?.

Yes had same problem two years ago. Light bulb moment went xdirectorie years before and compleatly forgot about it.sorted now and hospital GP no problem. Hope you get it sorted.
I have the same phone and even numbers I know sometimes go to voicemail and don’t even ring out. Or show on the screen. Odd. I just hear a buzz to indicate a missed call after!! Argh.
ther calls come in fine. Husband, friend from her work, neighbour. It’s just these calls from the hospital. I’ve updated the software now. Fingers crossed.
Yes ,had the same problem I'm still working and unfortunately my signal is not good so missed my telephone consultation twice
Yes I have it but it is because I am on IOS13 with my iphone 6splus. When rheumatology wanted to phone me I have to take off this setting in the phone bit of settings and then put it on again afterwards. However I am with Three. NHS should email you to say they are going to call to allow for this. That's for those of us with this setting - can't understand why you aren't able to turn off this setting in the phone part of settings. Perhaps the manufacturer of the mobile can advise.
As I said to Kitty - you go into settings and then scroll down quite a way until you come to Phone. Once in that setting - go down to nearly the bottom and make sure there is no green light opposite the Silence Unknown Callers. If there is and this is a mistake just take it off - but I find it great and only take it off when I know I am getting a call from someone who is not in my contacts.
you go into settings then scroll quite a way down to Phone - click that and scroll down nearly to the bottom and where it says Silence Unknown Callers - it is toggled on if green but when you want unknown numbers to come in - like I had a call from Rheumatology and no idea what number that would be but definitely not in my contacts - I toggled if off so it appeared grey. However you did say your phone wasn't set up to silence unknown callers so this may not be the case. My phone is old - 6splus - and I have only had this facility since we had IOS 13 - didn't have the facility before and I know someone who isn't in my contacts will get the info that I am on another call so that's why I mentioned this. However if your phone is not showing green at this setting then do contact Apple and see what they have to say. I find it a great setting for me - cuts out rubbish calls.
