🥺oh Dee . My ankle and hands were like this yesterday and like you my joints especially in my feet were the hottest they have ever been. Steroids have taken my Achilles pain away only to be replaced with swelling and sharp pains everywhere. Double dose methotrexate , biologic and steroids not doing the job. Like you another bloody day of rest .
Oh well misery loves company x

At least he understands. Mine does now took awhile but he can now see better than I when I want to do something. He will say not a good day leave it. Very humid here just walked the dog. ..PUFF !!! Hands and feet
Very reminiscent of mine Dee but you couldn't see any of my knuckles at all. I really feel for you as I live in fear of that ever happening again. I've mentioned on here before that I don't know which was worse, the pain of this or breaking my back in early 20s. This is a "life is such a bitch" time I think isn't it. Do you have some good painkillers? xx
On cocodomol and pred but the prednisone is not a big winner with me as it has made my fatigue worse even Consultant was no point with Pred wean yourself off as does not do anything for you. Needed it after anaphylaxis reaction for 6 days but now weaning off.
I said to consultant is my aim is to just feel ok and able to do basics at the moment not retire to the couch every day. I push myself to do things every day whether laundry, a bit of housework or cooking but ............
Now's the time to rest and let them heal a bit. I found that cool to cold water helped mine but I realise we're all different. I hope you get some relief very soon. xx
I did a drive on Thursday and that night was aching all over. I said yesterday to consultant its all the little things you think that you can do and then you get kick back. That is what does my head in some days.
Oh there is definitely a link. I have found that in the past. Both my hands are sore this morning and i can't see me being on here much today. Also when the heat shoots up as well makes a difference and it has the same effect and the extreme cold and the wet as well. So we are all in a no win situation. Hugs darling.xxx
Oh dee that looks sore. Dunk your hands in ice cold water for 20 mins it helps the blood vessels carry away some of the fluid. When I've been in hospital the physios put my hands and feet in bowls of iced water, so cold but after a while you go numb. Made me cry but helped.
I hope you can get back on sulph soon 🤞🤞

I am looking at the ice packs and about to dive in. However one of my cats keeps coming to me and laying on my hands and licking them. I think he has gauged today is a tough day as tends to stick to me like glue on rough days and likes to lick me better!
Goodness Dee! I really do hope that you get the meds sorted quickly and they work for you. You have been through so much already and continue to do so. Puts me to shame really. Gentle hugs xx
Aww I’m so sad to see your hands are suffering. 😢💗 It will go down once the RA has calmed. Mine were puffy too and I had no definition between knuckles. I had wax hand baths twice a week at the hospital physio but you won’t be able to do that at the mo. 🤨 Also I used to put some Epsom Salts in the sink with warm-hot water and swish my hands around in it doing some gentle movements for my fingers. The wax baths took the swelling and sting out of my hands but it returned after a couple of days. All the swellings subsided in my hands except one area between my fore finger and middle finger. As I’m left handed and did such a lot of activity in my art degrees I’m sure that’s why. I’ve over used it during the years! I’m hoping your RA will soon be more controlled and pain and swellings subside. 💗🙏
