Blood Tests - Clumped Platelets

Can anyone advise me as to whether I should query this blood test result with my GP? The last 3 mxt blood tests (6 weeks apart) have all come back with the result that the platelets have clumped. The first time I read that it could be an error in the processing, however, as this has now happened 3 times and the GP hasn't queried it, should I? My full blood count is 'borderline - no further action' with the anomolies being with the MCV and Lymphocyte results. Would appreciate any advice - thank you!

If it’s going to worry you then I’d give the practice a call so they can reassure you.

It sounds like it is nagging away at you. So ask. Don’t ask, don’t get as the saying goes.

I believe the clumping accures in the lab when the blood is being tested, you may have a low platlet count which is a fairly common side affect for RA suffers from the medication we take, guidelines for platlets is 150 to 450, mine has been 120 for the last 10 years without causing any major problems.
