Hydroxychloroquine / Low White Blood Cells

I have been on these tablets since March now with no side effects . I had a blood test in April which showed that I had low white blood cells . My consultant said it may be the tablets that are causing this. Has anyone else had low white blood cells due to these tablets or even due to RA. Other than that I am feeling pretty well thankfully 😊

I had a low count not long after starting them but my Rheumy upped my Folic acid to 6 days a week which sorted it out.

if you put low WBC count into the search box you will find lots of previous posts, Very common problem. Usually not so severe that you need to stop medication and often a sign that the inflammation is not under control.
