I’m sure this has been asked many times, but can you eat grapefruit if you are taking methotrexate by injection ?
Grapefruit : I’m sure this has been asked many times... - NRAS
Grapefruit
Yes.
Grapefruit is not recommended with a bunch of drugs, mainly statins for cholesterol and ACE inhibitors for blood pressure. But this should be clearly written on the patient info leaflet that comes with your drugs, so always read it.....
OMG, I thought I was going to die after eating a tin of ruby red pink grapefruit. And I really enjoyed it too. It was delicious. The next day I was so unwell with a flare.
I was on HCQ, possibly MTX too. It was a while ago and can't quite remember.
So strange how it interacts.
Coincidence, or something unique to you possibly. Neither are listed as causing interactions
I’ve never been told I can’t and my rheumatologist is amazing. I know you shouldn’t eat grapefruit when taking statins.
Hi its marie can anyone tell me of side effects of methtrexate by injection
