Hi all. Just a quick question. I woke up this morning with tiny little lumps under my skin. Mainly on my hands. Does anyone know what they are.
Lumps: Hi all. Just a quick question. I woke up this... - NRAS
Lumps
Are they the same as the ones you had a month ago? We can’t diagnose here as we aren’t medically qualified but they could be lots of things, if you’re concerned I’d speak to your GP.
Hi thanks for the reply. No I haven't had these before. They are small bumps under my skin
Hi jaqi1...yes! I first noticed mine about a month ago. Some days they are more pronounced than others and there are a few larger lumps. They are only on the dorsal side of my hands and seem to be ‘along’ the tendons. My knuckles are flaring despite Methotrexate 15mgs. Others on here kindly made suggestions..mostly that they might be rheumatoid nodules. I have mentioned it to my consultant (in an email sent a week ago post a short course of steroids) but have not heard anything from her as yet.
Thank you for your reply
Looks like only the 2 of us then jaqi1! I attached a photo on my previous post titled RA Related? ...about 2 weeks ago. Do let me know if yours are the same. I’ll let you know if I have any relevant comment from my consultant. Best wishes, Sue.
I am in the same situation a lump appeared on back of my hand near my knuckle, no idea what is us, not painful, just a wee bit ugly.
I get tiny spots/ lumps on my hands and feet, its a kind of ezecma called something like podopolyphox. Not many drs know about it, took a while for diagnosis.
Podopompholyx.... tiny itchy blisters..can be all over hands and feet. My tiny lumps are only on the backs of both hands and do not each. Are yours cured/eased now?
*itch
Mine don't itch either, they come up when i'm stressed or if I eat too much sugar or wheat. I get urticaria too and thats supposed to be itchy but I guess I've got strange pain / sensitivity levels! So in truth, it's never cured just managed. Some times its just on my hands it has to be quite advanced to be on my feet too. It can be absent for months and flare up out the blue and go again in a week. Most Dr's I consulted didnt know what it was, most people dont notice it, only visibly in certain light and always on the palm and soles of feet or around the edges of fingers and toes.
I have small bony nodules surrounding my finger joints. I'm assuming it s a consequence of RA. When I go into a flare my finger joints swell up, burn like fire erupting inside then days after I'm left with lumps. I think it s what happens after flare ups. Sorry a few months late!
