I have 2 sharps bins. One for Methotrexate pens and one for Amgevita pens. They were both pretty full and I was going to get rid of the MTX at my next hospital appointment. That has been cancelled and Lloyd's Healthcare have written to me advising that they will no longer be collecting full AGV bins and to contact my local Council for safe disposal.
Fortunately, I don't have children around so am able to keep them safely but guess we will be up to our eyewinkers in bio hazards by the end of the lockdown. 🙄

I got the same message. I have 2 full bins. I rang the local council and guess what.... they don't have any such service. They suggested I ring my GP. I haven't done so yet but will let you know when I do.
Hi sockknitter. Just rang the GP and they said they would take the Sharp's bins but I would have to drop them off myself or get someone to do it for me. Hope this helps you.
So no luck with a hospital worker but I did learn that the local chemist will take the used ones. They dont hand out clean ones though so I'll just have to keep them in a carrier bag until my next hospital appointment.
