So just got a letter got a telephone consultation on 21st may from immunology don’t know what there gonna do over the phone

I've got one on Tuesday next week with my consultant as they don't want me anywhere near the hospital yet.

I suggest you start making a list of everything you want to discuss. As you cannot have your joints examined, take photos of any problem areas and send those in advance. I sent mine to my patient helpline email address marked for the attention of my consultant (as I don't have a direct email address for him or his secretary).

Have you had a recent blood test? If not I suggest you ask if they would like you to have one done and how many working days before the telephone appointment. Perhaps you can get blood taken at your local GP surgery or ask if a phlebotomist can be sent to your home to take blood (or pay for it yourself if hospital will not do it free).

I had a very positive phone consultation with the biologics specialist who changed my medication to tocilizumab. It can work, just be very clear and succinct. Good luck 🤞
