Are you all ready for this?😂You may remember I posted 7 days ago about non delivery of injections, well arranging delivery I should say😉
On 26th May I left a message with my dermatology nurse to say Alcura haven't had a prescription from the hospital for my meds. Nurse on leave till 2nd June. Had a reply back to say they have sent it to Alcura and I will hear from them last Friday, well as I hadn't heard I contact on Tuesday morning to Alcura and they still state they haven't received a script! Walked to car after work on hold to dermatology, I said if I can't get the meds then I will stop taking the MTX as I'm done with keep chasing, im just going backround in circles, she could hear I was fed up! I returned from work and got a call from Secretary saying they have the prescription, few moments later had a call from my nurse from a different NHS hospital saying she has e mailed again so I should hear something today.
Today I went off to work, started at 8.30 am heard nothing so contacted Alcura after my very late sandwich at 2.30 to get the same response, no script. I said to her it was chased on 27th and again yesterday this cannot be right can you check and phone me back. She called me back from Alcura 45 mins later to say it has been received today but I can't arrange delivery because the necessary checks haven't been made! I look forward to hearing from you tom i replied and she said probably not, maybe Friday cause the checks take time😂if you do not hear anything by Friday give us a call. If I don't hear tom i will be phoning my nurse and she can chase it, I've had enough of being on this roundabout I seem to have found myself on😂
Sorry for the really long boring post but I feel this is terrible service, can you imagine if it was my elderly mother that is hard of hearing and relies on us children to make her phone calls😉thank you for reading😊x

I've had problems with Alcura saying they haven't received prescriptions too. I spoke to my consultant's secretary and she was adamant it had been sent. Thankfully she's very on the ball and sent them a no nonsense email. I've had to phone them on several occasions when they haven't contacted me to arrange delivery🙄
I am so sorry and saddened to hear this. I am glad you have kept chasing them up but as we know RD likes nothing more than it's pals stress and frustration to add to the mix. So I'm glad you have shared it as sometimes it can bottle up and RD loves that. Hope it all gets sorted out and soon too, take care Flor1rence xx
Oh what a carry on for you Florence. I had good care from Alcura when I was on MTX injections. I really do hope that it all gets sorted tomorrow as this has been going on for far took long for you. xx
This is just awful for you lovely. It is ridiculous that you are getting such a run around to get your medication. I’m doing ok, very weak and extremely tired but ok. xxxx
It is so nice being part of this lovely forum. I have felt so supported by you all when I have very little support from local friends. I have had a severe infection according to my doctors so may take me a little time to get back on my feet but am so pleased to be well enough to be home. ❤️ xx
Talk about being given the runaround! 🤨I’ve had very similar from HaH and my hospital pharmacy in the past. I hope your nurse gets this sorted for you this week if you can’t resolve it tomorrow. 🙏🏻
Moan all you like darling thats why we are here. I have to say it is a dreadful service you have received from them. I would complain to PALS about the service you have had. Hugs.xxxx
It gave me so much stress when I was at my lowest point in 2015 and was in bed immobile as I needed the med they weren’t giving me to move! They let me down so badly my GP was ready to contact the press and to take me to hospital in his car and insist on seeing the rheumy! Then the med arrived with me, the morning if the day he was taking me down to rheumatology after his morning surgery. (HaH and hospital pharmacy both denying everything!). I’d waited 7 weeks for the delivery. Rheumy furious she could not do much about it. She was ignored by HaH and her own pharmacy. That’s when I phoned HaH and was told .. you are 47th in the queue! Errr I would not hold on for 7th! Bad times .. thank goodness HaH are far better organised now. Hoping you get your injections today. Having to work through this too must be awful for your concentration. Huge Hugs. xx
Just read this. Oh my days. So bad. You must have been super stressed 😢 Glad they are much better now. I had HaH years ago and they were too efficient at one point and kept delivering stuff when I already had a fridge full. A much better problem to have, but I had quite a small fridge at the time and only had room for some milk and butter alongside it all 😂💗
Never had an over delivery issue with them but had a crazy delivery guy who wouldn’t wait and left without waiting for me to get to the door despite being told to phone and say when he was about to deliver next so I could be there waiting. Their text system is much better now and the two hour window slot. Waiting all day was crazy. I was told Saturday was my only time they could deliver once so we waited in all day and ... nothing! I think they had to make massive improvements as so much wasn’t efficient enough. It seems to be now.
Yes I can imagine...I am that very elderly lady who has to wait for things to sort themselves out! With age comes acceptance that everything will sort itself eventually...or it won’t!
yeah I knew you meant them it is a mess isn't it! they need to get a delivery to me next week without fail, I think I better have a spare sharps bin at this rate😂x
😢 Sorry to hear .. thought all was going steady with rheumy appointments and injections etc. I mean I know your knee is not good 💗 but thought they were seeing you. Haven’t seen a consultant or GP since January 2020. Phone calls to nurse yes, and infusion but no (much needed) advice re my med or side effects. 😑 xx
