Hi all - in addition to the weird thing I get on my neck I now have this: both sides. No new deodorant, washing powder or anything else. some of it looks a bit silvery. Not itchy. another weird symptom. Could it be hydroxy? why is it only in my armpits?
rashes - again: Hi all - in addition to the weird thing... - NRAS
rashes - again
In my opinion it’s an allergy rash. You can an allergy rash anywhere. When I was on hydroxychloroquine I got a rash just like that on my legs only
thanks J1707 - did you ignore it? I mean did you know it was the meds and did it just go away?
No my symptoms got worse.( others reactions) this is a warning just because your only getting a rash it now there is the danger that it can become more dangerous. This applies to any allergy. Really need to speak to your nurse and don’t take anymore until they give your the ok. I would take an antihistamine.
I remember you posted another photo of your rash but this is much worse if my memory is correct. Definitely need to speak to nurse
yes it is - also it looks a bit like my son's penicillin reaction rash, although that was all over his torso. I'm a bit hesitant to call the nurse though because the thing on my neck was there before I took the hydroxy and it looks similar. As I have been told I have one of 3/4 inflammatory arthritises (?!) I wondered if it might be inverse psoriasis. It's in my family so it wouldn't be unlikely for me to have PsA. I think I will leave the nurse a message to see if I can send in pictures as others here have mentioned they have done. Thanks
forgot to ask - did it happen straight away or had you been taking it for a while?
I was on it for a couple of weeks. I’ve been on methotrexate for 4 years and just taken off it due to sudden unexplained symptoms which have gone now I’ve stopped taking it. Unfortunately we can develop an allergy at anytime no matter how long we have been taking the medication
Poor you - looks annoying! I’ve had weird rashes this week and put them down to the weather fluctuations.
Could you email a photo to your GP or rheumatologist? Worth getting a medical opinion - via digital means!
Hope it clears up soon for you xx
