I've just an email from dentist he's now closed due to the virus. Along with all the rest not even an emergency one is going go be available yet as not set up. So I'm avoiding eating toffee, hard bread, anything that could result in loosing a filling. I might just live on soup for 3 months and I'd suggest we all do. He can prescribe antibiotics and give advice and only for an hour a day. But it did say on our news that dentists are going into help at the London Nightingale Hospital so perhaps thats why.
Be careful of the teeth folks.

Well oddly that's exactly what I did! Ate assorted toffees and yes my crown came out! I have fortunately managed to fit it back on but my goodness, I gave myself a fright! Eating very carefully now and definitely no toffee!!
I stopped eating chewy sweets in 1984 when a toffee tore out a filling! I went into labour (overdue) a few hours later too... two weeks till I got to the dentist.
I've got several crowns in my mouth, some are over 35 years old, few have come out recently and I've had an emergency appointment to have them re fixed, I'm paranoid about one coming out. xx
I was due to have my wisdom teeth and another broken molar removed next month but my op has been cancelled. One of the wisdom teeth is now so wobbly (and painful!) that I could probably pull it out myself, lol. Broken tooth hurts and I've also lost a crown! Finding it hard to eat anything that requires much chewing and no idea when my op will be rescheduled... 😖 All the best to everyone suffering from toothache (or missing crowns). I find clove oil and extract of mhyrr help a lot. Both can be ordered on amazon in case you can't get to a chemist.
Golly thats like torture and I'm so sorry. I had a nasty taste in my mouth it was down to sinus and treated but it was like torture and that did'nt hurt ! I hope they sort out the emergency service soon and you get the treatment.
I was to have a filling but had to put it off as i was having a really bad flare. Then got a phone call saying they were closed and gave me one for late April but dont think that will go ahead so praying no toothache and watching what i eat I have lots of problems with my teeth anyway
Hi, I was due two broken teeth to be removed and a crown put in 😟 but I was waiting for the rheumy dept to reply to the dentist about dental treatment and taking leflunomide, I don't remember anything special when I was taking methotrexate.
I know we can't advise and I know it won't be for a while but info about this would be interesting, sorry to jump in to the thread with this 😊
