It’s good you let us know...hopefully your experience will encourage others to persevere on Methotrexate.

After all who wants to end up on the merry-go-round of DMARD after DMARD when if you hang on in there for just a little bit longer methotrexate can be your golden bullet?

Really glad it’s working for you,

I'm so pleased to hear it's helping you. I have had ups and downs with MTX but I'm feeling almost back to normal.

How long have you been on it Gnarli?

A year on the tablets and two years on metoject. At first the nausea was horrible but, getting used to it and with a few lifestyle changes, it's all good. I found caffeine made the nausea worse and, I don't know why, meat has become repellant to me. Sometimes if the nausea starts increasing I take two folic acid a day which helps me.

Welcome to the group!

It looks like you have only taken MTX for 7 weeks, and you are taking steroids too. Are you tapering those?

Asking as they make us feel wonderful, masking symptoms.

Stick with the Methotrexate, it does take about 12 weeks to get the benefits.

Brilliant love to hear people doing well. Delighted for you
