Are you on tablets or injections? As swapping to injections could help. Can you talk to your medical team?

I got this with lots of ulcers when first started it did go down after 6weeks. But talk to Rheumy team as you can get mouth sprays etc as well to help.

I had a lot of ulcers too. I now take folic acid the day before and the day after my injection. I also use a sensodyne toothpaste without sodium lauryl sulphate in. Hope this helps

I’m not sure how to upload a photo onto here. It’s called sensodyne Daily Care Extra Fresh. It’s in a blue and white box/tube

I used a mouthwash to keep my mouth as clean as possible (any fragments of food may increase the acid level in the mouth as the enzymes break it down). I also used Orobase a gel which you can buy over the counter in chemists/pharmacies and sticks to moist surfaces.

And I swopped to injections and had folic acid six days a week.

I hope that it settles down for you. Is it affecting the rest of your gut at all, or just your mouth?

I have problems with sore mouth, can not tolerate spicy food or any food with chillies in, am on MTX injected and folic acid six times a week. I have tried many different toothpastes but have eventually found one that does not set the mouth on fire. Tesco Pro Formula oral care complete sensitive. Small things do help.
