Hubby high risk

Hubby just got a text to say he is high risk due to no spleen. So waiting to see if I get anything then we can work out how we do things again as we thought just me would need to isolate.

Work though said if we need anything they will do drops to us of whatever is needed- thank goodness.

What a dilemma for you, but it sounds like your work colleagues will help out if you need them. Things change day by day don't they and decisions we make I think are the same. I am ok for supplies at the moment but as the momentum of this virus picks up I don't know what will happen. It's clear on line shopping is a disaster and small local deliveries are inundated. I hope that you will be ok and send my supportive wishes to you Deeb, stay strong x

If really bad I know the family will drive 2-3 hrs to help us out!

That's good that your work will be helping you, are you on steriods? As well as the RA medication s?

As not on MTX the hands are swelling and all my joints are creeping back with pain. So steroids being upped daily for chest as they want me on 20mg. At that point I will be buried by hubby as I become a nutter at 5mg so by the time I get to 20mg god help us!

Hence lots of gardening to keep me grounded ..........excuse the pun! (unless he is making me dig my own plot.

Sorry dark humour in house today with the family too¬

Bless him he did tell me this morning when he was out the other day an old boy was denied 2 packs of paracetamol. So Shawn told the chap throw them to me. SO Shawn paid for them and gave them to the old boy as a gift. The old boy was desperate to give Shawn £1 and Shawn refused but he made the old boy smile!

I understand. Im on DMARDS and steroids for RD but im in better place than my husband who has COPD since he was 3 years old so im the 'better' one . My sister (the one whos husband has juat died) has been helping out but this afternoon she has been diagnosed with adult asthma (as my brother who is a year older was a year ago) and told to self isolate which other than doing essential shopping basically had been. We expect a letter/txt for him. Unusual times. Stay as well as you can. People are very kind. 🌈

Do take extra care, I am, as I have no spleen and have RA, taking MTX only but on long term penicillin due to splenectomy.
