Ikm posting this again because it’s clear and concise. It’s from the NRAS uk Last Updated: 20th March

- Are people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) considered to be in the 'vulnerable' category referred to in the latest Government advice?

Yes, meaning you should be from this weekend self–isolating as instructed by the Prime Minister on Monday 16th March. (see later explanation of social distancing/self-isolating/quarantine)

Stay safe everyone, Teresa

I think the chart from rheumatology.org linked in post below by Moomin8 is more informative.

I think everyone has been social distancing/self isolating for at least a week now. The main issue at the moment is the letters being sent out to the 1.5 million most vulnerable and at a serious risk to COVID-19 who must completely isolate, not go out for 12 weeks at the moment, will have a helpline and receive food/medication if they have no one to help them...which I think is absolutely brilliant. They have been identified and will receive a letter shortly. As HH has said below the link on Moomin8 post clarifies this risk much more clearly as we’re all dreading those letters arriving! Thank you for your post and stay safe and well.

Yes I have as well and my husband with me. There was some confusion yesterday which is why I posted the clear info . . As long as we all heed the advice we should be fine. We’ve got a bin outside the front door for parcels to be put into so we don’t have to open the door to anyone, we have a note on the front door and shout down from the bedroom. That seems to be working well. My only problem is the dog, he’s going to get lazy and fat! Stay safe . . .Teresa

That’s a good idea the bin outside the door..will pinch that one too! 😊 i agree about the dogs too, I have a naughty little one who’s using every opportunity as we’re distracted to raid our other dog’s food bowl which we forget to pick up!! We have a ring doorbell too..which is really useful too, as we can talk through that and last week the postman asked us the best place to leave anything that won’t fit in the postbox! Stay well and thank goodness for this site! X
