Has anybody else suffered from hearing loss? Just had Audiologist home visit and assured me that RA was responsible even though my Consultant said it wasn't! Who's right?

I've always had very good hearing but since being on medication for RA, I have noticed a deterioration. It's not enough to have tests for but I know it has become worse.

Ive had same. Rheumy said its nothing to do with RD but ive been tested and have hearing loss. I asked gp she said rheumy knows. Ive asked to be refered to specsavers as ive been told their hearing aids are good. Just waiting for appt.

No hearing loss, but I've had tinnitus for about 7 months, which I put down to Sulfasalazine or hydroxychloroquine or both. Consultant and audiologist both try to tell me otherwise, even though the risk on the PIL for SSZ was stated as more than 1 in 10! I stopped taking both, still have tinnitus , but am in remission from RA just on MTX. I reckon if I can have that with one drug instead of three, I'm happier.
