Osteo causing RA problems?

Just noticed an osteoarthritis bump coming up on my finger. Had one raise its head a few weeks ago. My question is would this be causing me to flare. Going to hospital on the 9th January for rituximab infusion (4th set). Because of this flare had steroid injection only worked for 10 days. So stiff and sore.

More likely the other way round I would think - the flare causing the OA to develop?

I'm not so sure the two are linked as Heberden's nodes only usually appear when the OA is advanced, you've had it for some time & they can grow whatever stage you are with RD. I don't think you flaring will be connected to them being more noticeable, or they never have with me, they grow if my RD is well controlled or if it's not.

If you're not on an NSAID you might find Voltarol gel 2.32% helps if they're nadging or Pernaton Gel if you are taking an NSAID.

I never have success with general steroid injections, only had two & from those had one day of feeling ok. Some people just don’t respond for some reason.
