Has anyone tries apixaban instead of Warfarin? According to the NHS website it doesn’t need monitoring and you can use Turmeric and CBD OIL at the same time.

I think you may have posted this on the wrong group Magnolia 😊

No, I don’t think so, there has been a lot about warfarin and not being able to take CBD oil

AND Turmeric

ok. I just thought you might get more/relevant answers in a different group other than an RA group.

Any idea which group?

I just searched warfarin and there was a recent post in AF association group asking about apixaban. If you use the search box there are quite a few in different groups. It depends what you are prescribed it for I suppose.

I'm on Riveroxaban same type of med and no blood tests, eat what you like. But must carry warning card in case of accident. Been on it 4 years no problems.

My husband has heart condition and is on Apxiban which doesn't need regular monitoring, but as someone said in another post you need to carry card. A good thing about this drug is it helps to protect against strokes and blood clots.
