Enbrel/benepali

Has anyone else found that enbrel/benepali has made them put on weight and very difficult to lose?

No, not changed at all since I started a year ago.

I think drugs effect people differently. I was on benepali now baricitinib and have lost weight since being on them. Whilst on methotrexate I piled on the pounds.

Piled it on on both MTX and benepali. I do wonder if these drugs affect your metabolism: well that’s my excuse anyway 😉

I’ve lost weight partly because I just don’t feel like eating most of the time. Only since I’ve been on benepali.

I put on weight about 7lbs since starting in Jan I feel more hungry than usual possibly because it’s stopping the inflammation. I have been very mindful of what I’m eating. Have given up sugar completely and watch my carb intake. It’s hard but at least I can move but I am finding it very difficult to lose the weight.

I started Enbrel on July 13 and have lost about 2.5 pounds since then, fairly easily. I suspect it's because I'm feeling a lot less fatigued since starting it. I think the fatigue was making me eat more to try to get some energy, and now I'm not doing that.
