Can you take Diazepam with MTX?

Just about to go on a plane and usually take diazepam. But I am now on MTx 20mg once a week. Can my liver cope with this? Does anyone know?

I would check with your local pharmacist, they should know if it's safe.

I took it very occasionally while on MTX. Prescribed for me as I sometimes pull my back ligaments and diazepam relaxes the muscles so that the whole back does not spasm and go rigid.

Hi there, I take low dose diazepam as needed for neck pain and spasm and have not been advised there is any concerns around this and MTX. I am on 17.5 of MTX and despite taking a lot of diazepam in April and May when neck was really bad, my bloods were ok and liver function fine. Just my experience of course.

I have taken both when my back went into a spasm and there was no problem. However, just to be safe, I would check with your GP or pharmacist.
