Hi m2147

My father had glaucoma. You might be better to try another community here as NRAS means National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society.

RA is an autoimmune disease that affects the whole body. Arthritis is just one symptom and is not osteoarthritis so you likely won’t find people here to identify and support.

I hope your father is relatively comfortable today.

Update: I just realised it is Giant Cell Arthritis! That was featured on a Doc Martin programme but is not arthritis. It can be very serious. Sorry for misunderstand your abbreviation. :-)

Hiya m2147. You've landed on the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society group, for those with Rheumatoid Arthritis (Disease) & associated conditions. I would think your Dad would find the best support from another Healthunlocked group, Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Giant Cell Arteritis UK (PMRGCAuk) healthunlocked.com/pmrgcauk...

Hope he finds similar support over there.

Better if you posted on the Vasculitis forum. healthunlocked.com/vasculit...

GCA is ARTERITIS, not Arthritis. Also visit vasculitis.org.uk/about-vas...
