Hi I’m peggy (precious). Lol. I’ve had RA for approximately 15 years. I struggle to find a medicine that works for me longer than 6 month to a year at the time. But I love life anyway. 😊😊😊

Welcome, but sorry you need to join us. It sounds as if you have been on many meds ?

Mmrr yes I have been on so many I can’t remember half of them. Some twice. My RA doc says he has only a few patients like me that are hard to find a good fix for. He is an awesome doctor and people come from different states to see him.

Hi Peggy, I’m a lot like you, 22yrs of RA and had numerous medications! and like you say nothing really works.

I have recently started 4mg of Baricitinib daily and (I dare hardly say it ) it seems to be working! Hoping it’s gonna be my “HOLY GRAIL” I never give up cos life is precious and I love life too! even with this bloody disease. Keep well 🤗 x

Hi Peggy

Welcome to the community. I love life too but as you say, RA is the devil.

I am also struggling to find a ‘therapy’ that works. With your experience, you have much to contribute.

Hope you have some fun and comfort here.

Don't give up Peggy, keep trying a different medication that will eventually work and kick that devil down. I've been through most drugs for over 15 years with little success but tocilizumab is my new best friend. Wishing you all the very best.

Hi peggy welcome,I really love your positive upbeat outlook dispite having this awful disease. I to try to stay upbeat . Hope you can find the meds that suit you. After 20yrs was put on 6monthly biological infusions and this has help a great deal. Stay safe xx

They are still looking for me as well. Been on so many pills & self injection type biologicals that did not work and now trying IV Infusion Acterma 3rd month that also is NOT working!

Had to be on prednisone for 8 long months, everyday & now have sever side effects from all the high does of prednisone to fight the endless flares!

The prednisone has done so much more damage to my body than the RA ever could! But currently is the ONLY thing that fights & controls the flares so I can get to work each day!

I just cannot win & am getting really upset & frustrated that NOTHING is working on me!

I truly understand your frustration. All we can do is keep

Pushing forward. I took rituxin infusions and got nothing from it. Been on so many I have had to make a list of them like my meds list for my RA as when they changed systems they lost what I had been on. Thankfully my RA is very compassionate and he knows me and what all I’ve been through very well. I hope you find something soon that will turn your life around. I pray over my new meds when I get one. I believe one day God will say this is the one. Hugs to you

Peggy
