Looking for a bit of info on this biologic.eg has it worked well for their ra,side affects etc.rhuemo has put me forward to start this med as methotrexate and sulfasalazine are just not working.on steroids at the moment along with the dmards and this is the first time in 10months that I’m feeling normal, but rhuemo insistent they want me off steroids as soon as possible and to start the biologic.im thinking surely the steroids can’t have any more side affects than the biologic.

I've been on this since January and it's been brilliant. No side effects, no flare ups and it's easy to inject. I still get tired sometimes (but not the chronic fatigue), but that's probably down to my age and overdoing it! Best of luck with it x

Morning so far it’s been amazing. I have only had 3 injections. I am nearly off the steroids and taking 0.05mg every other day, hoping to stop it next week. Still on meth and hydrox but when I see my Rheumy next month I am going to ask if I can reduce my other meds. It has given me my life back and I hope it will continue. Wishing you all the best when you start your treatment, it is quite a lengthy process as there is a lot of screening to go through, it took about 8 weeks for me to get it all into place and the healthcare team have been wonderful. Keep us updated 😊

I was on this drug for about 7 years. It made such a difference, less stiffness more energy. No side effects. After a few weeks came off hydroxychloroquine, reduced steroids and sulphasalazine. Kept on methotrexate with it. Only changed from it because the methotrexate attacked my lungs so was taken off both.

Hope it works well for you.
