Give me the drugs Doc

After the Friday Doc refused meds, I saw my main man Chabbria today who looked at me and said 'but Dee you have a severe level we have to do something for you from here till you are seen by consultant.......

Almost kissed the man. So 2 weeks of prednisolone to see if my body calms down from the rage that IS RA at the moment. Blimey I hope so, I have felt particularly crap for past 4 days.

Thanks all for the words of wisdom it helped and called RA line today for info and got my status for consultant to 'will drop anything to see them'.

Bake him a cake?

But I hope he took on the message that his locum was useless...

He was polite but there was a shake of the head and I know he got it as he told me to book only with him from now on.

Thank goodness for common sense! That doctor is a keeper but isn't it a shame that the locum was so useless. I often wish that some of the 'clever' so-and-sos who refuse meds like steroids could experience just half an hour of the pain you suffer. They'd be begging for something, anything, to stop the pain after ten minutes. I hope you feel better soon

Sometimes locums seem very effective, and proceed cautiously in what they do. Perhaps because they know so little of your history, they are willing to examine, assess, and diagnose with care. I'm thinking of times when I have seen a locum in place of one of my practice GPs. But sometimes the opposite can be true - they seem disinterested, unmotivated (except by cash?), and give rise to the suspicion that they are known ineffectives who no-one is willing to employ in a steady post.

Sometimes a girl has to go gangsta and diss the dyamfoolboys.

Good your rheumyhomie has your back. :)
