Strangest Sinus Issue

I have the strangest sinus thing going on.

It is not an infection either. Had two heavy doses of antibiotics & still the issue is in my sinus.

When I tilt my head forward I can smell this thing that I cannot really describe. It is sometimes stinky & sometimes chemically like plastic but mostly stinky.

It only happens when I tilt my head or bend down forward too!

Anyway

After 2 months of ruling out infection I finally had a CAT scan and the left side is totally closed by polys! I have to go to the Ears, Nose Throat specialist next week now for them to fix it. I am scared because I know they are going to stick some kind of probe up my nose and I am afraid of any pain!

I do not want to feel anything!

Did anyone every have to go to the ENT specialist and have a procedure done? What was it like?

Did it hurt?

I once had to have a camera up my nose to check my throat . It feels strange and made me sneeze 🤧 but it didn’t hurt at all. I know it’s not he same thing but hope it reassures you.

I had polyps removed by laser surgery under a GA & it solved all my sinus problems...they never grew again.

As J1707 said the camera they put up your nose tickles but it doesn't hurt...so don’t worry....there is help for you.
